game against Markham

August 14th we played against Markham. this game was important because we’ve never beaten Markham and this was our last game against Markham with our incredible and amazing coach Marc. we held about 70% of the possession in the first half. unfortunately one of our players gave a PK to the other team but it happens to everyone. other than the PK the second half was an even game. both teams didn’t have any big threats. personally, I’ve played way better. I was slow to check my shoulder so a couple times the defender was able to get the ball from me, I had a couple bad touches which led to a change of possession, and finally I didn’t get turned out to go 1v1 a lot. now I’m ready to play Burlington and play my best.

Duke ID camp

Duke ID camp

Thursday July 21st I’m on my way to duke for an ID camp. I’ll be at duke for 3 nights. This is my first time going to an ID camp alone but I’m very excited. Rebecca Quinn who is now on the women’s national team and used to play at my club goes to duke right now. Getting a hold of her was quite difficult considering the crazy schedule she has now because of rio coming up just around the corner. All I know is that I’m going to get the most out of this camp and I just can’t wait to be there.

Unionville game

On July 10th we played against Unionville. It was an early game which I do not prefer. The game started off very slow. Personally I thought this was my worst game of the season. I was slow to the ball, making lots of mistakes and just overall I was not on my game. I still don’t quite know the reasoning behind why I was playing so horribly but I reflected back on my game trying to figure out the gaps in my games, and how I can fix them. I know that everybody has bad games but I’m the type of player to be extra critical on my performance because I want to make sure I’m the best I can possibly be.
