Today was our first game of the showcase this weekend. We played against another OPDL team call Kleinberg. This was our third time playing Kleinberg, so we knew what to expect but we came in with the same mindset as we would for any team we play. It was a very way game and we won comfortably, but there should have been more goals scored. I very excited to play our game on Sunday and Monday.
Althougth we didn’t win our games, I still had an amazing time in America. The facilities that we used were awesome. There were probably 30-40 fields, on the other side of the pitches there was endless amount of base ball fields and in the middle of them both was a indoor complex which contained 3 full sized soccer fields. I can’t wait until the next showcase in America!!
I have never been to a showcase before and I’m really excited to experience what it’s all about. I suspect there will be a lot of show boating to attract the scouts but I’d like to see what the competition is like and see how we compete as a team against the U.S.
Should be fun.
